Supports the mission of the hospital to provide patients with the highest quality of healthcare in a caring atmosphere. Perform personal care, simple procedures and all duties related to nursing care under the supervision of the nursing staff. Promotes teamwork as a member of the healthcare team with nurses, physicians and other ancillary departments. Willingly takes instruction and guidance from the nursing staff and is able to follow instructions accurately. Assists in providing and maintaining a safe and orderly environment for patients, families, and staff in the Emergency Department.
Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Licensure/Certification: Current CNA license strongly preferred. Must maintain certification for CPI and CPR per hospital policy.
Experience: Minimum of six (6) months experience in a hospital setting as a psychiatric technician or nursing assistant, preferred.
