What you’ll be doing...

The Metrics Analyst is a critical role in helping to quantify the success of the TMC and the individual work streams that comprise the organization. Metrics analysts are often adaptive and capable of understanding and visually representing the information that Senior Leadership and various stakeholders (such as the Board of Directors) request. This position provides an opportunity to work in a fast paced collaborative environment defending Verizon from current and future cyber threats.


  • Create and maintain monthly TMC metrics review templates
  • Retrieve information from existing archives in support of historical metrics requests
  • Utilize common office productivity suite applications (such as Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel) to generate metrics packages
  • Leverage functionality within analyst toolsets to generate specialized reports
  • Support Senior Leadership requests for customized metrics information
  • Leverage Expert/SME knowledge to understand complexities of incidents which appear to be anomalies (breach of SLA, escalated priority, etc.) and properly illustrate the activity
  • Participate in Lessons Learned activities to help identify efficiencies

Desired Skills:

  • Previous Information Assurance or Cyber Experience in the Telecommunications industry
  • Previous experience in IT metrics collection
  • Ability to brief large audiences
  • Demonstrates effective organizational and technical skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Capable of providing rapid support to generate metrics
  • Ability to operate in a fast paced environment
  • Strong ability to create reports and visualization reference material
  • Self-motivated to identify and generate additional metrics information useful to aid in TMC operation

What we’re looking for...


  • Minimum of 3 years experiencing performing metrics gathering/presentation, or similar work
  • Possesses strong communication and presentation skills along with the ability to work in a highly collaborative environment
  • Strong relationship skills and collaborative style to enable success across multiple partners.
  • Possesses the capability to collaborate with others and perform tasks both in person and through virtual appliances (teleconferencing)
  • Demonstrates effective organizational and technical skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education with 3+ years of professional experience.
  • Certification (A+, Network+, Security+, CISSP, CEH) a plus
  • Exhibit initiative, follow-up and follow through with commitments
  • Manage multiple priorities in a high pressure environment
