The Manager, Cross Functional Business Solutions is responsible for translating business needs and requests into integrated cross-functional project requirements to meet the business objective. Manage the project intake and chartering processes utilizing existing and proposed methodologies and information system capabilities to ensure effective and meaningful results for the stakeholders. Prepare and submit recommendations to frame up projects and programs into achievable, logical phases.

The successful candidate will become the subject matter expert in developing deliverables specific to Charter Communications resulting in: stakeholder mapping, project engagement, coordination of competing priorities between business units, and facilitation of the project onboarding process for the project or program manager.


MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages the project intake process to create a collaborative environment to enable teams across the organization to work together.

Works with Project Sponsor to develop stakeholder mapping, project engagement, and collision reporting in preparation for developing the project charter.

Interfaces with executive and management stakeholders to elicit and translate business strategy and needs into the project charter to define project scope, HL business requirements, HL project milestones, budget and risks.

Builds stakeholder relationships both in the immediate team and across multiple customer groups. Additionally, develops relationships with other project intake teams and understands “rules of engagement” for integrating with those organizations.

With training, may be asked to use facilitation methods for stakeholder sessions to produce scope, high level project plan and schedule, and key deliverables.

Proactively manages and keeps up-to-date the Technology Services collaborative team site.

Contributes to solution design among cross functional teams to frame up projects or programs into achievable, logical phases.

Acts as the continuity and foundational subject matter expert for initiation of projects and programs to rapidly stand up the project or program and its associated manager(s).

Actively works with the business and other project management teams to identify process improvement opportunities to more effectively manage the intake and project charter, initiation and planning phases of projects and programs. Supports and drives use of tools, templates and processes to support and improve the Technology Services team’s delivery of projects and programs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
Effective communication skills with ability to elicit and facilitate spoken and unspoken requirements
Demonstrated knowledge of Business Analysis and Process/IT Integration skills
Ability to work independently to develop, lead, and implement process improvements effort in areas of direct responsibility
Cable industry knowledge

Education
BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent work experience

Related Work Experience
6 to 8 years Business Analysis and Process/IT integration consulting experience


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Multi-Service Organization/Telecommunications Industry Experience preferred
Demonstrated knowledge and application of project management techniques
Experience in facilitation methods
