This role is responsible for leading the Human Resources function for a large manufacturing facility. Member of the leadership team reporting to the General Manager and Global Head HR, Franchise MTO/Q. The position provides strategic, tactical and operational HR support to the site. It supports and enables the achievement of the strategic objectives of the site, by providing expertise on all aspects of HR in both an operational and strategic capacity. Provides leadership and direction in all human resources activities including Compensation & Benefits, Performance Management, Policy Development and Implementation, Employee Relations, Talent Management, Retention, Talent Acquisition, Organizational Development and Employee Relations. Works on Regional and Global HR projects and initiatives as directed. Formulate and implement Site HR strategy, objectives, programs and processes which are fully aligned to the overall business strategy and HR strategy, and partner with business and HR leaders to deliver successfully on organizational goals. Work with Leadership team to optimize the organization, positions and the job profile at depart-ment level based on business needs. Work with local HR team and business partners to support business recruitment; responsible for internal talent sharing across MTO and the rest of Al-con/Novartis. Support Leadership team to facilitate Organization Talent Review (talking talents, succession plan and Career Progression & Development Plans). Provide insights in succession planning process at local level. Provide individual and organiza-tional coaching and consulting to leaders as required. Work with Leadership team to lead perfor-mance management process, coaching on how to manage employee performance, and create high performing teams. Work with Leadership team and C&B to lead annual merit increase process and other adjust-ments. Partner with leadership team to proactively and effectively manage organizational chang-es while ensuring business continuity. Develop and implement engagement strategies to proac-tively maintain a positive and engaged work environment as assessed through the global en-gagement survey. Carry out retention strategies and maintain turnover rate below industry. Lead the Site labor strategy, manage employee relations, and play critical role in employee communi-cation. Drive the Diversity & Inclusion agenda, and other culture initiatives to support the achievement of the organization's strategic objectives. Lead a team of HR professionals. Drive department objectives and strategic direction, and ensure team member development and career growth. Manage Regional and Global HR projects and/or initiatives and implement as required; may act as Project Manager for HR projects as required. Other HR accountabilities: Identify potential issues in HR management practices, Communicate and explain HR policies to associates, Play key role in maintaining consistent company policies. Coach and provide guidance to the staff to be compliant, Help drive and support the Alcon cul-ture, focusing on innovation, results and teamwork, Coach & influence business decisions and contracts for HR deliverables to meet operational and strategic objectives, along with ensuring growing manager and employee self-sufficiency in basic people processes and matters. Proac-tively identify, facilitate and coach change management and organizational development initia-tives, acting as a consultant partner in providing solutions and supporting their implementation. Develop leadership capability in the organization: onboarding new managers, coaching them to become better leaders and address poor leadership in appropriate and effective ways. Also, work with clients to identify and develop talent in the organization, and stay connected to functions' top talent, managing quality and implementation of development plans.
