Position Summary: Under the direct supervision of a Clinical Laboratory Scientist, may operate designated automated equipment in the areas of Microbiology, performs waived testing, and processes specimens including inoculation of media, makes smears for gram stains and AFB stains. Sets up moderate complex tests for reading by the Clinical Laboratory Scientists. Restocks and orders supplies, monitors computer orders, answers phones and performs other duties as needed.

Supervises (title): NoneQualifications: POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Licensure/ Certification/ Registration:
- CPR (Patient Contact Positions only)
- Two year degree, either AA or AS
- Completion of Laboratory Assistant Training program.
- Minimum 3 years of recent experience as a Microbiology Laboratory Assistant in an acute care facility.
