Current Need
McKesson is currently hiring a Molecular Specialist to support the New York, New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania territory. 

Position Description
The Molecular Specialist acts as the key driver of all moderately complex molecular sales in <150 bed hospitals, large physician office laboratories, and regionally-based medical reference laboratories, within a given geography.  This position is for a highly talented and driven capital- sales professional, who leverages product/market knowledge and business acumen to sell cutting-edge, molecular technology to high/moderately complex laboratories. Current products have both an established base in the market and significant room for market share growth. The Molecular Specialist is responsible for supporting sales revenue, profitability objectives and branding efforts.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements
2+ years technical product sales experience

Critical Skills
  • Capital equipment sales experience with a large clinical diagnostic company OR Molecular and/or microbiology capital equipment sales experience
  • High level knowledge of and experience in sales of medical laboratory diagnostic equipment.
  • Strong public speaking/presentation skills
  • Ability to consult with and present to customers in the laboratory and across various departments (Pharmacy, Physicians, Quality, C-Suite) to gain support for your assigned product(s)
  • Must be have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
Additional Knowledge & Skills
Intermediate level Excel and PowerPoint proficiency

Education
4-year degree in business or related field or equivalent experience

Certifications/Licensure
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

Physical Requirements
  • General Office Demands
  • Must be able to safely operate a motor vehicle
  • Must be able to travel daily throughout the territory via an automobile
  • Must be able to carry and use a laptop computer
