The Cardiac Monitor Technician (MT),
is responsible for monitoring the assigned central telemetry of the adult age patient and documenting ample strips indicating usual rhythm as well as dysrythmias, reporting changes in telemetry screens for immediate follow-up action and reporting equipment problems.
The quality of care given in the Progressive Care Unit will be in keeping with the philosophy, mission, and values of the hospital and the Department of Nursing. It will maintain and support the standards of nursing care and practice in order to promote and support the concept of the family unit and to meet the health care needs of patients, their families and the community.Qualifications: EDUCATION:
- High School/GED or Equivalent is preferred
- Previous Medical Terminology is preferred
*The applicant chosen for this role must successful complete a basic dysrhythmia exam by the completion of orientation*
- Some previous customer service experience is required
- Previous healthcare experience is preferred
