Education: High School, GED or equivalent; Each monitor Tech will demonstrate competency in arrhythmia interpretation with a passing scoring score on the OU Medical system basic arrhythmia exam.
Experience: One (1) year experience performing work related to patient care in a healthcare setting, six (6) months of which must have included experience as a monitor technician OR a combination of education and experience.
Special qualifications: Knowledge of basic arrhythmia interpretation and performing EKG tracings is required. Good computer skills. Good interpersonal skills that allow for developing effective working relationships with staff.
