Intel's Custom Foundry division within the Technology and Manufacturing Group (TMG) is looking for a Design Automation Engineer to support the Intel Multi-Product Shuttle (MPS) on Intel's latest process technologies.
This DA Engineer will support various aspects of Multi-Product Shuttle (MPS) design automation tasks including but not limited to:
-- Defining and implementing verification scripts/flows to ensure delivered MPS product design seats meet full-chip tape-out requirements
-- Developing computer aided design (CAD) automation tools/flows for physical design verification, Design Rule Checking (DRC), layout synthesis and validation.
-- Performing audits of full-chip layout to help ensure layout convergence for tape-out schedule readiness and design database acceptance for shuttle launch.
-- Providing customer support to shuttle passengers during design tape-out executions (includes design rules, full-chip layout collaterals, tape-out requirements/procedure).
You should possess a Bachelor or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering and/or 3-5 years of VLSI design experience with strong skills in software developments.
Additional preferred qualifications include:
-- Experience in VLSI circuit, CMOS layout design and validation.
-- Exposure with industry standard integrated circuits (IC) design CAD tools/flows. Specific experience with CAD tools like Cadence Virtuoso, Synopsys IC WorkBench or Mentor Calibre is required.
-- Demonstrated expert level understanding of layout design rules and familiar with runset or rule-deck coding development.
-- Demonstrated capacity to solve complex problems using efficient computer algorithm and effective programming techniques.
-- Experience with software development/programming in high-level languages (e.g. C/C , TCL, Perl, or Python) and IC CAD tool scripting languages (e.g. Mentor Calibre or Synopsys ICValidator)
-- Experience working on with UNIX/Linux computer platforms
-- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly/concisely convey technical content, team work, and ability to meet the deliverables schedules
-- Attention to details and discipline in following defined methodologies.
-- High tolerance to ambiguity, ability to efficiently define concrete architecture and design strategy/plans.
-- Highly motivated individual with a 'can-do' attitude, willingness to take informed risks in order to achieve desired team goals.
