Position Description

The National Sales Coordinator provides direct support to Sales Team Members by aiding in administrative type activities focused on driving the execution of key deliverables associated to our customer contractual agreements. This includes following up on customer inquiries, quotes, and other administrative activities as well as informing and educating sales team members on contracts, implementation plans, etc.

• Provides National Account Sales team member support with activities related to sourcing, quotes and other tactical and administrative tasks to drive contract implementation and execution of contracted business. • Makes outbound internal calls to follow up on inquiries, open quotes, and sales leads on assigned customer groups. • Actively probes to uncover unique and complex customer requirements to execute effectively on tasks. • Presents service, product, and promotional offerings to internal partners in order to generate customer awareness of contract offerings and to help drive speed to revenue. • Understands and utilizes current sales policies especially with respect to pricing. • Acts as a liaison between the supported National Accounts team members and other support departments as needed. • Build relationships, share product information, educate on branch service capabilities and assists with problem resolution with key aligned customers. • Possess the technological capabilities to efficiently navigate the Grainger systems to support customers. • Ability to listen, gain trust and bring closure to all tasks. • Ability to stay with a position or plan of action until desired result is achieved or is no longer reasonably attainable. • Ability to work independently and maximize use of time and resources to deliver effective solutions. • Other duties as assigned

 

Position Requirements:

• College degree preferred or 3 years' experience with direct customer interaction in service and sales environment. • Multi-task management experience, including the ability to prioritize multiple projects. • Excellent organization and communication skills. • Strong decision making, solution focused and troubleshooting skills • CI Mindset • Knowledge of MRO products and their applications. • Proficiency in multiple software packages including MS Office (Excel, Access), SAP, BW, and Outlook.
