Overall Purpose of Job: The primary role of the Network Administrator is to support and maintain the plant IT infrastructure. This includes: Servers, switches, routers, firewalls, UPS devices, desktop & laptop computers, laptops, printers, telephones, network cabling, time clocks, copiers, fax machines, etcetera. This role is also responsible for providing front-line end-user support for all standard PC-based software including: Microsoft Office, Outlook, Lync, connectivity to internal customer SRG applications, etcetera. Major Responsibilities: • Know and understand the operation and business of the plant • Support and maintain shop floor and office IT hardware • Work with plant management to develop and impelment a hardware refresh program • Interface with local vendors when necessary • Perform routine maintenance on all network devices • Develop and maintain a local disaster recovery plan • Work with plant management to understand and adapt to the changes within the plant Primary Activities: • Repair or replace broken equipment within the plant • Perform daily, weekly, monthly maintenance tasks • Provide end-user support and training as needed • Document plant infrastructure • Assist plant with all IT-related equipment moves • Ensure adequate security measures are in place and are active and up to date – to protect against intrusion, theft, viruses, etcetera Key Skills & Education: • BA/BS: Bachelor's degree in business or computer-related area or commensurate work experience in relevant areas • Hardware Knowledge: Cisco Routers, Switches and Access Points, Cisco IP Telephony, Desktops, Laptops, Servers, Laser Printers, Barcode Printers & Scanners • Software Knowledge: Microsoft Windows Server 2008 – 2016, Active Directory, Windows 7/8/10, Microsoft Office 365, Outlook, Skype, Cisco IOS • Strong interpersonal skills; Able to build working relationships with co-workers across the IT function. Able to speak and behave in a business manner with our plant end-users across all functional business areas, both local and remote Travel: • Some travel may be required depending on the business need
