Job Description: Our Client is looking to bring their IT back in house instead of the fully outsourced model that they have had for the past couple years. They have realized that they have been way to much money with their current MSP and realized they could reduce cost, have ownership over their environment, and bring the knowledge of the environment back on site. They are currently going through a 9 million dollar network refresh project and are looking to add a Network Engineer to their team. They are going from Cisco to Cisco and upgrading from core 5509/7018 to 9500 series Nexus. They are looking for someone with Local Area Network, Cisco Route/Switch and Wireless Access Point experience. They want someone to own this environment with the current Infrastructure Director. The planning for this has been mostly completed and they are looking for the support on the build/run piece of the Network.

Additional Information: A Senior Information Technology (IT) Network Engineer is responsible for the stability and integrity of all data communication, including voice, video, wireless, and network services. The
individual in this role oversees planning, designing, and developing Local Area Networks (LANs) and Wide Area Networks (WANs) across the organization.

(Duties & Responsibilities purpose of the function and result to be accomplished) include but are not limited to those listed:
Oversees, plans, designs, and develops systems, including: routing, switching, WAN/LAN,
WLANs, and Cisco network devices.
Configures and implements network infrastructure, including routers, switches, wireless AP s
(controllers, firewalls, and context switching) as break/fix or enhancement requests.
Investigates and resolves connectivity issues across LAN/WAN.
Monitors and configures networks through the use of Cisco PRIME Management System;
designs and supports IP networks for voice, data and video in the environment using SIP,
MGCP, RTP, Multicasting, and Unicasting.
Assists service provider in troubleshooting and integrating data networks, technologies, and
protocols, such as, IS-IS, OSPF, BGP4, MPLS, and MPLS-TP.
Monitors network traffic and quality of connectivity, including infrastructure performance.
Monitors and troubleshoots network with tools, such as, Nessus, Solarwinds, and Cisco
Identity Services Engine.

--Late hours or overtime may be required if a system goes down or a project is happening.
