Medical, a division of Ethicon US, LLC, is seeking a Research & Development
/ Engineering Intern. NeuWave develops
minimally invasive, advanced hardware and software technology with critical
subsystems and components that are used during clinical hospital procedures.
The Research & Development (R&D) Intern will assist with data
collection, testing, and documentation of various projects. This individual in
this position will work with full-time engineers with testing design and documentation,
and may be assigned small design projects based on skill set.
ex vivo ablation data collection, recording, and measuring.
update, and execute verification and miscellaneous test protocols, as needed.
and perform necessary testing for smaller projects.
form testing of new products to find issues.
projects may be available, based on workload and each intern's education and
exposed to various other functions within the larger R&D team.
must be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing an Engineering
degree / related program.
must be available to work part-time during the school year (hours and schedules
may be flexible).
standing or higher desired.
must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require
sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g. H1-B status) now or in the
must thoroughly understand and consistently follow directions in the protocol
and ask questions to ensure understanding and appropriate application.
must be detail-oriented, have excellent documentation skills, highly organized
and able to manage multiple tasks.
must have the ability to work individually (independently) as well as on a team.
need to be proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel (including a high
proficiency with generating pivot tables and graphs), and Power Point.
minimum G.P.A. of 3.0 is preferred.
in campus/community service activities is desired.
