This company is looking for 2 ITOC Level 1 Network Operations Center Technician for their overnight shifts: Monday-Friday 11p-7a or weekend 11p-7a.
This person will serve as the first level of troubleshooting and escalation for the Enterprise,Network-Device and Systems Servers for this company. duties will include working with other analysts within the 24x7 NOC Environment. This analyst will have responsibility for the maintaining the reliability of this customer's Network Systems utilizing HP Openview's Management suite of products and a very strong background in Network Operations, Cisco Devices, Windows Servers and The shifts for this position are 11p-7a rotational.
Primary Job Duties:
1. Responsibility for the reliability of the company's Network Infrastructure (primarily Cisco environment).
2. Break/Fix of Network Devices, Cisco 6500/7200 and triage problems and resolution.
3. Perform network diagnostics to re mediate detected/reported network incidents
4. Perform scheduled network configuration changes (SW/HW).
5. Work with groups within IT Infrastructure and IT Applications in resolving problem issues.
This person will be working on the Tier 1/2 team of 8 performing operations support. The overall NOC group is around 40 personnel. responding to alerts and monitor the health of the Server, Network, troubleshooting issues within the Infrastructure Environment to minimize escalations to the third level engineering team. Primary responsibility is to monitor the availability of the IT environment consisting of Windows 2003/2008 Servers, Linux Servers and Cisco Devices.
This role will be heavy network and systems operational diagnostics, troubleshooting and escalation that will involve capacity, applications, load balancing.(Cisco)requests.
This person should have familiarity with some type of Network Monitoring tool. uses HP-Openview, HP Service Center, NNM or Cisco Works.
