Position Summary: Nordic Ski Instructor, Level 2 teaches Nordic skiing to beginners through Level 2..

Essential Functions:
  • Greet all guests upon their arrival in the Badger Pass ski/snowboarding area
  • Instruct the fundamental lessons of Nordic skiing to guests
  • Maintain and set up the area that you will be using in the lesson
  • Attend and conduct clinics on how to ski and improve an individual's ski performance
  • Assist guests in utilizing the proper equipment and readily answer any inquiries involving alpine skiing
  • Shovel snow when requested
  • Effectively communicate with guests to ensure all guests receive prompt and courteous service
  • Maintain a positive attitude in high stress situations
  • Go the extra mile and follow through to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Must be able to work with diverse populations in a supportive and positive manner
  • Diplomatically handle guest complaints, always polite and maintaining a professional manner
  • Must be flexible and willing to work a varied schedule
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Status and Scope: Reports to Badger Pass Manager
Position requires a strong customer service focus, strong communication skills, and a positive attitude. Must be able to work efficiently and be prepared to help wherever needed. Must be willing to gain a good understanding of the Badger Pass operation, becoming fully knowledgeable on all activities and amenities offered

Equipment Used: snowboard, skis, poles, hand held radio

Travel Requirements: Travel (<80>
Lifting Requirements: HEAVY - Lifting 100 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects up to 50 pounds


  • Must be an advanced to expert Nordic skier
  • Must be a fully certified PSIA Level 2 instructor in good standing
  • Standard First Aid and a current CPR Certification required
  • Must be personable and able to work with children and adults in a professional manner
  • Required to lift 50 pounds consistently and capable of shoveling snow
  • 1 year of experience teaching/coaching required
  • Extensive knowledge of advanced skiing/ snowboarding techniques required
  • Must have problem solving skills with a positive attitude
  • Be able to read, write, and comprehend instruction manuals
  • Must be able to assist and supervise lower level instructors
  • Must have your own skis/snowboard
