North America Center of Excellence Regional Finance Systems Leader

This position will relocate to Titusville in the second half of 2017.

The North America Center of Excellence Regional Finance Systems Leader will report to the Senior Finance Director for the North America Business Support COE with a strong business partnership with the NA CoE and Technical CoE for global FP&A.   He/she will play a significant role as the:

  • Point of Contact for the CoE on technical expertise on TM1 planning and reporting applications
  • Leader in driving best practice sharing, process improvement and issues resolutions
  • Key Liaison role between financial reporting and planning requirements with IT

He/she will act as a link between the IT functions and the Finance functions (Global/Regional/Countries/COE/Supply Chain/Regional GS).  He/she will support the key tech stakeholders in North America and need to have excellent communication and problem solving skills.


Additional responsibilities include:

  • Responsibility for actively soliciting feedback, identify action plans, and follow through to ensure improvement on processes and technical issues are resolved
    • Acting on soliciting feedback on monthly reporting issues or improvement opportunities post major planning cycle
    • Following through to ensure any technical issues or trainings gaps are close in time
    • Engaging and working closely with IT, BUF COE, Tech COE and Finance community in driving best practice sharing and issues resolution 
  • Supporting any regional and global simplification &  standardization projects 
  • Responsibility for availability of monthly & quarterly actual Financials to meet reporting requirements
    • Managing the timely refresh of monthly Actual data and Forecast requirements  into TM1 based on business reporting requirements
    • Responsibility for end-to-end data validation to ensure data quality and integrity
    • Working with the technical support teams to identify the root cause of any issues (data or logic)
    • Driving resolution of data exceptions (SAP/Web GRM/FDW/TM1) to deliver recommendations to address the data issues on timely basis 
  • Responsibility for TM1 administration and data maintenance
    • TM1 user access administration
    • Responsibility for TM1 data maintenance and model control administration
    • Coordinating month end/ year-end requirements relating to TM1 (e.g. bravo hierarchy changes, accounts to be planned, BP exchange rate etc.) with regional office
    • Coordinating all planning cycle requirements relating to TM1 (RF/FBP/JU/NU/PBP) prior to version opening (e.g. bravo hierarchy changes, master data updates, accounts to be planned, update BP exchange rate, FX hedge rates, etc.) with regional office
    • Coordinating necessary data changes (actual data refreshes, standard costs change, volume update, list price, etc.)
    • Reviewing mapping accuracy on creation and mapping of new GL accounts and cost centers
    • Managing lock/unlock, data refresh, snapshots (monthly RF and during Planning update cycles) 
  • Ensuring robust escalation, resolution & communication process on all issues during month-end/planning cycle
    • Providing technical support and guidance to end-users to resolve their issues on timely basis
    • Partnering with technical team to identify, understand root cause and resolve open issues raised by end users and communicate/share issue and resolution to end user group.
    • Following up on any unresolved issues raised by end-users with Global Team 
  • Creating process efficiencies by identifying and recommending improvements / opportunities
    • Active engagement and  alignment with system owners, regional and country end users to drive efficiency by evaluating and recommending improvements of process and systems (enhancements)
    • Participation and representation of North America CoE in the monthly feedback and continuous improvement sharing calls with regional and global teams covering the entire FP&A suite of tools (TM1 Plan, Cognos BI, CAFÉ, TM1 BRAVO)
    • Initiation and follow-up on any change requests with Global Team
    • Educating users on necessary process changes (including working with SAP/BPO teams 
  • Conducting training for new end users (TM1 Plan, TM1 Bravo, Café) 


A minimum of a Bachelor Degree required. 

A minimum of 7 years of experience in finance/ accounting is required

A background in IT is preferred

Knowledge on SAP, TM1 or Web GRM is required. 

Knowledge and understanding of the financial business processes and SOX compliance required. 

Prior project management skills preferred

Prior people management experience required.

A proven track record in process improvement is preferred. 

Must have the ability to influence and lead change management. 

Strong process mindset with solid communication and interpersonal skills. 

Experience driving positive change management for organization and creating strong organizational health and culture.

This position initially may require up to 10% travel.

This position will initially be based in Skillman and will relocate to Titusville in the second half of 2017.
