The Group Product Director (GPD) role leads a team of individual contributors
to develop and execute product & customer-facing initiatives that enhance
customer satisfaction, improve market share, and increase profit margins for
the assigned product category.
Responsibilities of the North America Group Product Director, Shoulder
- Building and
cultivating sustained relationships by being active and present with
physicians, institutional customers, and company consultants.
customer outreach and customer-facing activities with an emphasis on
action and execution.
frequently and in a collaborative manner in order to listen, understand,
and appropriately manage business challenges and personnel issues.
with and without authority to ensure organizational focus is appropriately
directed and is well understood by direct reports and associated company
effectively with cross-functional groups to communicate clear direction,
ensure alignment with Finance, R&D, and other departments, and serves
as an expert on internal questions and business needs related to the
assigned product category.

commercial strategies and customer engagement programs for the US market
that help the company achieve short and long term business goals with
physicians and institutional customers.

neutralize threats to the company’s current and prospective customer base.
- Supporting education
and sales training events on site by working at cadaver lab tables,
setting up and tearing down lab events, and serving the on-location needs
of the Professional Education and Sales Engagement team.
proactively with the Franchise account management team by assisting with
institutional customer discussions and preparing strategy and tactics
needed to fully represent the benefits and opportunities of partnering
with DePuy Synthes.
compliance programs, budgeting exercises, resourcing decisions, and
financial investments in the assigned product category and with assigned
value to the sales organization by serving as an expert on the assigned
product category and facilitating questions to the appropriate functional
areas as needed.

S&OP process to ensure actionable customer feedback is captured and translated.
Advises on product disruptions and provides proactive guidance and
alternatives in the event of product unavailability
- Delivering forecast models

- Bachelor's degree
from an accredited institution in any discipline is required
strong communication and presentation skills are necessary.
- A minimum of 7
years of direct customer-facing experience in a business-to-business
environment is required
- Experience with
successful team collaboration, influencing without authority, and working
effectively on cross-functional teams is a crucial skill set for the GPD role
- Must be able to
work effectively in an ambiguous environment and be comfortable making informed
decisions with incomplete information
- This position may
require up to 50% domestic travel,
including some weekends
