Position Summary:
Individual responsible for solid to expert knowledge of all Nuclear Medicine, PET CT (Positron Emission Tomography/Computerized Tomography /BSGI) procedures. Communicates and works independently in performing all nuclear medicine, PET CT, BSGI procedures on customers ranging in age from newborn to late adulthood. Prioritizes, provides, and promotes quality patient care to support the Mission, Vision, and Values of Presbyterian/ St. Luke's Medical Center. Maintains and supports facility technical and documentation expectations consistent with JCAHO regulations and standards. Positively reflects concern and consideration when interacting with patients, medical staff, and employees. Demonstrates independent critical thinking skills to assume accountability for personal and team contributions. When need arises, will perform other duties as assigned by Imaging Center Manager.
Qualifications:
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Current ARRT with advanced certification and /or N.M.T.C.B. Current BLS certification

Education:
Graduate of 24-month AMA approved school of Nuclear Medicine Technology preferred.

Experience:
One year PET CT experience preferred

Special Qualifications:
Solid knowledge and skills for all Nuclear Medicine and PET CT procedures

Degree of Supervision Required:
Minimal to moderate supervision. Individual anticipates and initiates his/her own performance, applying critical thinking skills to provide high quality PET CT images and in compliance with policies, procedures and standards established by Imaging Center Manager.
