Summary: Provides direct patient care in the Mother/baby setting. This area will also include stable antepartum patients and surgical gynecological patients. Provides assessment and planning for individualized patient care. Communicates with physicians about changes in patient's clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies. Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Performs general nursing duties in all Maternal Child Health departments with adequate supervision. Participates in performance improvement activities. Additional skills and competency in other areas of MCH preferred (ex: Labor, Delivery, or NICU).
Qualifications:
Education/Certificates/Licenses:
  • Current state Registered Nurse licensure.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation certification required.
  • BCLS.
  • One or more years of recent mother/baby experience.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
