- Position Summary : The Occupational Therapist functions as a member of the healthcare team. The purpose is to provide medically prescribed occupational therapy programs in the hospital in accordance with national standards and administrative policies of the hospital. The goal is to restore function and prevent disability following disease, injury, surgery, or loss of a body part in order to allow the patient to perform self-care and activities of daily living as independently as possible.
Occupational Therapy: Population Served
Core competencies will be assessed primarily on the following patient population(s) served: Cardiac/cardiovascular, neuro,
orthopedic, spine care, pulmonary including but not limited to: CVA/TIA, joint replacement/fracture repair, etc.Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements :
Education: Bachelor of Science in occupational therapy from an accredited school.
Certifications: Current Georgia Occupational Therapy License required. BLS required upon hire.
Experience: New graduates from accredited schools may apply
