Position: Occupational Therapist (Acute Care)
Position Type: Full Time - Hourly/Non Exempt (Eligible for Overtime)
Work Schedule: Days with rotating weekends
Unit(s) Assignment/Patients Supported: Occupational Therapist:
Occupational Therapies - This is an acute care occupational therapy position. The therapist will be assigned to the acute care occupational therapy department and will see patients on various different floors in the hospital including, but not limited to: Progressive Care, Cardiovascular Services, Orthopedic, Intensive and Critical Care units.
*The Staff Occupational Therapist provides evaluation, implementation of Plan of Care, and treatment of patients with physical/cognitive disabilities and pain within the scope of practice of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
*The Staff Occupational Therapist participates in a multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement therapeutic interventions and instructional programs pertinent to Occupational Therapy.
*Demonstrates the knowledge and skill set to provide appropriate care to a variety of patient populations including the pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric populations.
* State of Alaska Occupational Therapist License
* One year of acute/rehab experience preferred.
