About the Position
  • Golf Pride® Grips, Played by 80% of Tour Players, aims to further strengthen our brand with the assistance of an experienced and passionate OEM Account Manager.
  • This key position will lead the execution of the sales strategy for the designated Golf Pride OEM accounts. The OEM Account Manager shall assess, plan and deliver committed performance in revenue, account P&L and customer satisfaction. 
  • OEM Sales is an essential part of our business and strategic growth. The OEM Account Manager shall serve as the Voice of the Customer to R&D/Engineering and Program Management to identify trends and ensure proper product development.  This person must professionally represent Golf Pride and all its products sold to our customers and the industry.  The role reports directly into the Global OEM Sales Manager at Golf Pride.
  • The ideal candidate is passionate about selling and a self-starter who can think and act strategically with a strong drive for results while working in a milestone driven, multi-regional, cross-functional environment.
Essential Functions:
  • Takes ownership of the respective NA OEM account management process, establishing a comprehensive customer strategy that achieves strategic alignment to Golf Pride objectives and initiatives.
  • Manage accounts with commitment to achieving financial objectives and working capital metrics including sales revenue goals, individual account performance, Key Growth Initiatives, and annual Profit Planning process (among others)
  • Develops and deploys strategy to support Key Growth Strategic Initiatives.  Responsible for evaluating and developing pricing, volume and execution strategy. 
  • Develop specific Account Plans/Vision for respective customers to identify long-term goals and opportunities on how to grow our business with each customer.
  • Successfully executes routine near and mid-range forecasting models with customers to support SIOP and drive manufacturing efficiencies.
  • Challenge respective customers with Disruptive Insights into their business in an effort to develop Proactive Solutions.
  • Work closely with Program Management and Engineering to manage customer development requests to ensure adequate and effective use of internal resources to achieve New Product Development On-time Delivery metric.
  • Disciplined approach to key customer relationships including regular visits focusing on areas such as innovation, brand marketing, Co-Marketing initiatives, Tour strength, Retail Channel trends and Quarterly Business Reviews.
  • Ability to extend reach within customer’s operation and build strong relationships with key decision makers in various departments.  Aligns, as necessary, the Senior Leadership Teams from Golf Pride with the assigned customers.  Arranges collaborative meetings between Division leaders and their customer peers.  Promotes /Influences/Persuades various Golf Pride functional groups to establish/improve relations with their customer peers. Aligns customer functional groups as necessary to promote Golf Pride and discuss strategies.
  • Drives front-end customer discussions regarding global brand manufacturing footprint strategies.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • 5 years combined sales experience with demonstrated business wins and experience of complex negotiations, or equivalent experience
  • 3 years managing customers who rank in Top 10 of their industry
  • 2  years of combined experience with co-marketing plan development
  • 2 years managing customers with global/multi-region supply chain requirements
  • 2 years of experience coordinating with Program Management on New Product Development
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.  Only candidates within a 50 mile radius of the work location will be considered or work from a home office
  • Ability to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years’ work experience in sporting goods/CPG industry
  • 3+ years account management experience with sole-sourced customer
  • 2+ years’ experience in golf industry
  • P&L, cost estimating, pricing, internal rate of return net present value, etc.
  • MBA

  • Demonstrated selling skills with value based selling and pricing knowledge
  • Understanding of specific market channels
  • Proven ability to achieve results in a matrix environment
  • Broad business acumen, ability to plan and manage execution based business plans
