This offering manager is responsible for ensuring our platform has features, functions, and infrastructure necessary to meeting the needs of international markets. For some markets, it will require heavy design and workflow revisions to our tools; for others, it may be ensuring we can support in-country services, e.g., state-owned CDN in China, collecting VAT in Germany; other countries may have data sequestration requirements. This person will understand how to launch a SaaS in global markets, plus identify new revenue opportunities in key geographies.
This person is critical to our meeting the full potential of our position within IBM. Gaining clients across the global marketplace is a key focus, and we will always need to hone our products for specific markets, especially as we move both into new verticals and new geographies. The Offering Manager, Internationalization, is a high profile role, with a direct impact on how we launch and manage a global offering. For the right person who has done some amount of work to launch a SaaS business globally, it's potentially a career-defining role.
