The recently formed Oncology Business Unit (OBU) is a cross-functional, cross market business unit that embodies our value of playing to win by maximizing our unprecedented number of upcoming launches in oncology. The OBU has the responsibility for delivering the long-term value of the Oncology pipeline. OBU Strategy team acts as a bridge between the science prosecuted by GMD, through late stage development and the commercial delivery, covers the product strategy from the clinical stage, new business development opportunities.
Reporting to the OBU Finance Controller, you will provide business partnering support to both the OBU Strategy VP and GMED Heads in GMD. You will be expected to provide finance governance and key input into investment decisions. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in project prioritization and resources for evaluation of internal pipeline investment decisions as well as supporting business performance reviews and budget management for the GMED and Cancer Enterprise. You will be pivotal in ensuring financial disciplines and budget control is achieved.Essential Requirements
- Managing Oncology late stage pipeline forecast and budget performance
- Managing Immune Oncology (IO) GMED, Oncology GMED and IO Franchise function forecast and budget performance
- Developing long term Oncology P&L (yrs 3-10) aligned with Oncology Therapeutic Area strategy and support portfolio prioritization
- Decision Support: Ensure financial aspects (cost and value) of governance requests are aligned with Oncology Strategy and sufficiently robust/complete to inform decision making
- Driving cost efficiencies in clinical studies
- Managing quarterly Oncology portfolio reviews
- Supporting OBU Strategy and GMED with ad-hoc queries and projects
You will be a qualified finance professional with proven post-qualified experience and will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the key commercial drivers of a business and possess strategic focus. You will have a proven track record of operating in an environment where success is delivered through leveraging deployed resources.
You will be able to demonstrate outstanding commercial acumen, underpinned by robust numerical skills. Proven interpersonal and well developed influencing skills, at a senior level, is key, alongside experience of working within multi-disciplinary, cross-cultural teams.Next Steps - Apply today!
