Praxair Distribution, Inc., a subsidiary of Praxair, Inc., a Fortune 300 company that supplies atmospheric, process, specialty gases, high-performance coatings, and related services & technologies is seeking an On-Site Service Coordinator - Warehouse Associate in Allentown, PA.

The purpose of this position is to safely manage the entire cylinder inventory at Praxair customer sites (Hospitals). This person will optimize, inventory, and streamline delivery schedules from the plant to the customer (and all locations within the facilities).

The On-Site Service Coordinator - Warehouse Associate will also simplify cylinder gas distribution for Praxair customers, optimize distribution costs for PDI, and avoid interruption in service to customer processes.

On-Site Service Coordinator – Warehouse Associate

  • Maintains and manages on-site inventory at four Lehigh Valley hospitals
  • Inspects inventory and document all gas supply systems
  • Conducts periodic cylinder audits and reconciliations to ensure record accuracy
  • Safely delivers and connects all products to customer use points
  • Ensures compliance with inventory management policies & conditions of Service Agreements
  • Assists with the development and maintenance of the SOP Manual
  • Complies with all Praxair and customer’s policies and procedures and government regulations
  • Adheres to company’s safety and compliance policy and procedures
  • Reports accidents including: near misses, unsafe acts, or conditions and obey safety rules
  • Identifies cost savings and service improvement opportunities to outside sales
  • Assists with the development of Key Performance Indicators
  • Participates in customer meetings
  • Communicates regularly with Sales and Management about issues and overall account status
  • General housekeeping of the on-site office and gas storage area
  • Performs other duties as required

  • High School Diploma / GED required, additional education or trade skills preferred
  • Knowledge of cylinder gases, cryogenics, welding equipment and applications preferred
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to relate to customers and internal plant personnel
  • Computer literacy required ( MS Office Suite- Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Trained to operate a fork truck
  • CDL is desired but not required
  • Must be able/willing to safely lift and move up to 40 lbs
  • Must be able/willing to safely move heavy loads on a routine basis (including carts on wheels which may weigh up to 1200 lbs.)
