Role Summary/Purpose

Responsible for leading an operations team, partnering with Sales, Finance and other Commercial Operations Centers of Excellence (COE) teams to drive orders and sales performance across our National Accounts. This position will have direct report responsibilities.

Essential Responsibilities

In addition, responsible for providing strategic P&L or operations finance leadership, for a defined group of

organizations, a P&L or a region. Serves as a business partner to the operating team to drive business initiatives, growth, business strategy, and (global) profitability. Manages a team in smaller scope roles.

Responsibilities :

1. Lead Sales Operations processes & mechanisms and coordinate their implementation

2. Partner with the Commercial Operations COE's (i.e. Deal structuring, order management,

variable compensation, CRM) to improve sales team efficiency and effectiveness

3. Cultivate partnerships with P&L commercial leaders and their teams to build consistent

strategies for multi-modality projects and cross-P&L business events

4. Establish strategic imperatives (Growth, Simplification & Quality) and initiatives in order to

ensure the fulfillment of business requirements and to optimize business performance

5. Track order forecasting through CRM and other tools

6. Develop and maintain critical relationships with Commercial GMs and finance teams to deliver

orders performance to OP targets

7. Enable collaborative culture and drive organization to improve customer/client satisfaction levels

and responsiveness

8. Lead quarter-end orders closing with Finance and local commercial teams

9. Develop metrics to measure progress to make tools more effective and to make the employees

more efficient

10. Ensure data analytics drive decision making for budgeting and financial planning and analysis

11. Identify opportunities to improve visibility, win-rate and share performance across P&L and


12. Lead as appropriate the various Sales Operating Mechanisms

13. Drive processes simplification and best practices

14. Ensure that the processes of the Quality Management System (QMS) are implemented and

maintained (QSMRs)

15. Support internal and external Quality audits and closure of audit findings

16. Support the EHS program and the follow up (EHS contractor safety / EHS training fulfillments)


1. Partner with business leader and staff to drive operating performance & act as champion for

strategic initiatives within the organization

2. Ownership for developing estimates, operating plans/forecasts/reviews, Growth Playbook (3-

year Plan), SII (1-year Plan)

3. Driving profitable growth by providing analysis of results and reporting key metrics while

advising the leadership team on risks and opportunities, as well as recommending actions

4. Effectively manage/lead/coordinate/develop a team of Financial Analysts and/or Finance

Managers determine clear roles & responsibilities, identify and action development needs to

ensure superior finance business support.

5. Work with Controllership & Operational teams to adopt Healthcare SOP's; Drive profitable

growth in the region by providing analysis of results and identifying & tracking key metrics while

advising the leadership team on risks and opportunities, as well as recommending actions

6. Work with the Controllership and Planning & Analysis teams to define the relevant IT platform

and requirements to support analysis, improve data visibility and ensure controllership

7. Lead cross-functional projects to drive simplification throughout the organization and to improve

rigor in key Finance processes, reducing costs & improving profitability

8. Provide Finance leadership for NPI activities (e.g. target costing, margin analysis, etc.)

9. Drive quarterly indirect ledger ties to work with FP&A to identify areas of leakage

10. Contribute to improving efficiencies and performance as well as providing quality financial

information (e.g. report dashboard and VC/BC productivity). Actively participate with LS

Operations Management to improve productivity and inventory management.


1. Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years' experience in sales, management and or operations OR Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration and minimum of six years of financial work experience or High School Diploma/GED and minimum of ten years financial

work experience including developing forecasts & operating plans and leading business / finance


2. Demonstrated ability to lead and influence a team within a large, complex and matrixed


3. Ability to influence and collaborate with senior level management team

4. Experience leading or managing projects of various size, duration and scope

5. Ability to translate strategy into business objectives

6. Executive level presentation skills

7. Coaching and mentoring experience

5. Solid PC skills: experience with financial systems/applications (i.e.: Oracle, SAP, COGNOS,

Business Objects, etc.), strong Excel skills in data compilation and aggregation (i.e. pivot tables,

VLookup, and Macros)

6. Fluency in English

7. Confidence / Assertiveness: strong influencing skills across business functions; confidence to

approach business leaders with difficult messages and defend position; for example, work closely

with business leaders to achieve business objectives while driving controllership/GE Values

8. Experience working in global business environment with sound understanding of global process

and transactional flows

9. Experience successfully leading cross-functional projects and process improvement within the

operations/finance functions; able to quickly grasp new ideas.

10. Experience leading in a matrixed environment

Program (EFLP) or Corporate Audit Staff (CAS); or graduate of other financial leadership


16. Masters' degree in Business Administration
