Position Description

The Operations Manager is responsible for the operational activities of a variety of functional departments within the distribution center on the night shift.

Duties include:
  • Plans, organizes, and directs warehouse and selected office functions to ensure order fulfillment with 100% customer satisfaction.
  • Development of supervisory team
  • Leads warehouse employees and supervisors
  • Maintains morale and work standards
  • Trains and manages performance of supervisors and other direct reports.
  • Assertively seeks solutions at the root level of problems.
  • Builds teamwork among DC management team, sales team, and employees.
  • Ensures warehouse operations comply with federal, state, local and company policies.
  • Controls expenses
  • Ensures warehouse and equipment are well maintained and that housekeeping meets company and FDA standards. 


Minimum Requirements
  • 7+ years operational experience including 4+ years managerial experience

Critical Skills
  • Management skills – coaching and development of supervisors
  • Strong communications skills – open, honest verbal and written communications
  • Very thorough knowledge of Operations Management
  • Strategic Thinking
  • A Bachelor’s degree and experience in operations, distribution or supply chain management.
  • Must be open to flexible night hours, Sunday through Thursday, with 6PM start time.  Must also be open to overtime as required based on business needs.

  • 4-year degree or equivalent experience

Physical Requirements
  • High energy distribution center environment
  • May be required to work various shifts, including nights and days
  • Some overtime required
