Job Description
You will work with senior department leaders on the SSGA North America Operations / Program Management Team  to enhance the measurement and success of the group, assist with managing the department's accounting budget, and take on a variety of projects that support the mission of the department to maximize the firm's operational capabilities to enhance the client experience.
You will serve as a liaison and ambassador between Operations and clients' third party administrators, such as Custodians and Record Keepers. You will forge and cultivate relationships among Operations and external and internal constituents by convening and leading cross-functional calls and meetings. 
You will craft high quality communications and presentations about the department's activities for distribution within SSGA and to clients, including timely and accurate RFP responses, and respond to questionnaires from clients, consultants, and auditors.
You will build programs to educate new members of the department and improve existing on-boarding and training tools, including the department's online library of Standard Operating Procedures.
You'll organize and host client-requested training sessions and due diligence meetings regarding the department. 
You will collaborate with SSGA's Business Continuity Team to support the department's engagement in firm-wide Incident Management tests, Disaster Recovery exercises, and periodic reviews of our Business Continuity strategies.

Qualifications
Required Competencies (What we need you to be):
  • 7 - 10 years of related experience
  • Persuasive and articulate in presenting complex ideas, simply, in prose or in-person
  • Positive even when challenged, professionally agile, easily adapting to changing priorities
  • Adept at prioritizing multiple responsibilities, managing the execution of them, and meeting deadlines
  • A great relationship-builder, across all levels of seniority and types of teams
  • Quantitatively analytical and creative in presenting your analysis
  • A decisive contributor to a collaborative environment, but also comfortable operating with minimal supervision
  • Experienced in improving existing processes and managing risk
  • Comfortable delving into the unknown
  • Knowledgeable about investment manager operations, especially in the following areas: Fund Accounting, Performance Measurement, Client On-boarding, Client Reporting, Transfer Agency, Trade Settlement, Reconciliations, Internal Controls
