Basic qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
1-2 years in a lead role previously

Preferred qualifications:
GMP operations experience preferred
High Speed Packaging Experience and Manufacturing Experience is Preferred

GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) Memphis is located in the heart of Tennessee. We are surrounded by "Blues" legends, rich historical landmarks and southern charm. The Memphis site is a part of the Consumer Healthcare supply chain, and is in the Global Manufacturing and Supply Division of GSK. This is a highly automated, state of the art facility that manufactures and packages powders and tablets for oral care, OTC Brands, and medical devices and supports over 17 domestic and international markets. The Memphis site operates 24/7, and is an integral part of the overall supply chain strategy.

The main purpose of the Operations Support Specialist is to participate in the oversight and management of operations of manufacturing and packaging. To ensure adherence to schedule.

• Daily oversight of scheduling and planning of on the floor activities and resources
• Maintain/Share manufacturing/packaging system knowledge
• Drive lean manufacturing and GPS principles (e.g. performance management, problem solving)
• Gathering facts and data to make decisions, proposals, or escalate when appropriate
• Strong communication skills
• Component planning
• Schedule adherence
• Documentation coordination (mfg and pkg)
• Ensuring area compliance (e.g. Logbooks adherence, calibration logbook adherence)
