Reporting into the Sr. Director of Product & Data Strategy for Automotive you will work to ensure that the Oracle Data Management Platform (DMP) is optimally integrated on behalf of the Oracle Data Cloud Auto business to drive client wins, client satisfaction, partnership, and revenue growth.
Clients will depend on you to discern their business objectives, and ideate how the DMP can fit into both overarching marketing strategy as well as day-to-day needs to meet marketing, analytics, and revenue objectives.
Colleagues - namely Auto sales and account management - will depend on you to operate as the subject matter expert on how the platform itself fits into the custom data and analytics strategies they are developing for clients. This role will own both ideation of big-picture vision and development of complex tactical implementation roadmaps; both pre-sales support as well as post-sales client success. In sum, you are tasked with ensuring all of Oracle's Data-as-a-Service audience and measurement offerings have seamless synergy and compounding value with the Oracle DMP's Software-as-a-Service technology & capabilities.
In addition, the same expectations will be applied to customers who are clients of competing DMPs. The role will require subject matter expertise on ensuring Oracle data is able to be leveraged via competing DMPs in the most effective manner possible to ensure high-level client success.
The role includes a combination of market strategy, sales support, implementation and client advisory services in conjunction with various Oracle client facing teams. The specific problem this role is solving for: ensure successful integration and use of ODC data for Oracle DMP clients as well as clients of competing DMPs. Collaboration with internal sales teams to build ODC data revenue, DMP ownership experience, DMP customer retention and DMP customer acquisition.
Business Strategy: Discovery & scoping of client business objectives in parallel with ideation & detailing of very specific strategies around 1st & 3rd party data management and marketing analytics/measurement. Development and publishing of standard automotive use cases to help guide client engagement. Ensure ODC data sales are complementary & supported in client DMP strategies Provide guidance and support with DMP contracting processes - Both BK & Competitive platforms to enable data delivery for named clients
Adoption Development: Ensure clients are aware of all use cases for DMP functionality, have a path to increasing adoption of those use cases, such that value is broad enough to make the DMP core infrastructure for the client organization and business.
New Business Support: Participate in pre-sales efforts, serving as subject matter expert, articulating general value proposition and functionality as well as set-up and demonstration of solutions custom-built for prospective clients.
Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as subject matter expert not only for Oracle clients but the entire GTM team, working to establish solid foundational understanding of how DMP fits into our auto business and solutions such that they can confidentially discuss with clients. Additionally, serve as subject matter expert for non-Oracle DMP clients to ensure seamless integration of data into their platform of choice.
Product Strategy: identify areas to optimize the functionality of the DMP, both new features or enhancements to existing. Partner with the Enterprise Product team to articulate, scope, and prioritize development. Work with Market Strategy on positioning in GTM.
Customer Support : Partner with ODC auto client partner teams to improve customer engagement, increase customer retention and customer acquisition outcomes. Help clients understand what to do once they sign up for a DMP - including but not limited to, how to navigate onboarding their data and accessing and leveraging other 3 rd party data
Training : Provide data-DMP expertise, training and education to internal ODC team members.
• Establish position and relationships across ODC and OMC
• Identify immediate client-critical priorities and work towards successful outcomes
• Establish effective internal processes and workflows
• Support overall ODC FY17 data and DMP revenue goals
• Establish FY17 Q1 "Current State" performance benchmarks and develop improvement plan with clear FY17 exit goals
Experience & Credentials:
10 years data, ad tech, DMP experience
5 years automotive industry experience
Experience in business development, sales, sales engineering, account management and/or product management
A strong understanding of the variety of digital advertising and marketing technologies (DMPs, DSPs, ESPs, MTA, ecom platforms) and success metrics (e.g. CPM, CPC, CPA, ROAS, etc.).
Demonstrated track record of building successful client interactions
CO preferred; Seattle, SF location considered
Proven track record of developing effective relationships in heavily matrixed environments with internal and external stakeholders
Ability to think and act in innovative and creative ways
Strong analytical, problem-solving, technical and strategic thinking skills
Executive presence, strong verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to self-motivate, guide teams, work in teams and be flexible within a fast-paced and changing environment
A strong understanding of the use cases and core mechanics of various digital marketing strategies such as retargeting, site optimization, dynamic creative/content optimization, search, email marketing, modeling, and etcetera.
Ability to distill complexity down to impactful simplicity, bringing disparate points into clear, linear, compelling narratives aimed at achieving specific objectives. Masterful storytelling skills & senior-level gravitas.

Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sell.
As a Senior Sales Consultant you will be responsible for providing presales technical / functional support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction with minimal supervision. Acts as a technical resource for less experienced Sales Consultants. Develop and deliver high quality standard Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Present and articulate advanced product features and benefits, product future direction and overall Oracle solutions. Design, validate, and present Oracle software solutions to include advanced product concepts, future direction, and 3rd party complimentary products. Develop and manage reference sites through high quality technical, professional client relationships.
Job duties are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. May have project lead role. 5 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 5 years relevant computer applications or database/tools. Demonstrated proficiency in one multi-user operating system. Through knowledge of system and application design. Strong verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with accounts in complex technical environments. Ability to travel as needed. BS degree or equivalent; advanced degree desirable.
