In the Manager of CPG Partnerships role, you will have accountability for managing a range of ODC CPG strategic and data partnerships. Your charter is to develop, maintain and further grow the partnerships in support of our CPG product strategy and roadmap. In this highly visible position, you will be responsible for working directly with key executives within the data vendors in the CPG vertical, such as 84.51, Kantar & IRI.
This role will require involvement in business development, account management and product strategy against these partners. Working closely with the rest of the CPG Product & Sales teams, Analytics, R&D, operations and sales groups, your job is to streamline and continuously enhance our offerings as they relate to these partnerships, which helps push the CPG vertical forward. This position reports to Head of CPG Data Partnerships.
Primary responsibilities include:
Assist in partner relationship management, contract negotiations & business reviews.
Actively manage all aspects of relationships with vendors and CPG data partners to maximize revenue.
Establish yourself as the go-to person on the accounts at ODC and within the partner account.
Ensure enterprise product compliance with contract terms
Work cross organizationally and manage all work streams related to getting CPG partner initiatives up and running.
Drive work streams in partnership w/ the Director Data Partnerships through to completion.
Example work streams are product development, pipeline management, financial process, marketing collateral, etc.
Lead all key stakeholders to keep work streams moving and teams updated.
Demonstrate initiative and creativity in developing tailored solutions that meet the needs of both the Oracle Data Cloud and CPG partners
Establishing business metrics and process to communicate results to support & measure the success of each data partner
Actively participate in industry meetings and trade shows for the purpose of promoting our understanding of, and position within, the CPG industry and new business development.
Skills and Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years in business with 2-3 years of experience of managing strategic business relationships
Prior business development, account management and/or negotiation experience
Proven experience successfully delivering projects that requiring cross-functional team involvement & management
Excellent organizational, time-management and multi-tasking skills
Ability to think and act in an innovative and creative way
Strong analytical, problem-solving and strategic thinking skills
Solid verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills with the ability to make executive level presentations
Demonstrated ability to self-motivate, work in teams and be flexible within a fast-paced and changing environment
An entrepreneurial outlook and team-based work ethic
Ability to travel occasionally
Digital and CPG experience preferred
Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sell.
As a Principal Sales Consultant you will be responsible as the expert for formulating and leading presales technical / functional support activity to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction. Acts as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced Sales Consultants. Focuses on large or complex sales opportunities that need creative and complex solutions. Develops productivity tools and training for other Sales Consultants. Develops and delivers outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Leads any and all aspects of the technical sales process. Advises internal and external clients on overall architect solutions.
Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 3 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 7 years business experience with relevant computer applications or database/tools. Ability to implement the most advanced product features. Thorough knowledge of system and application design. In depth knowledge of competitors. Demonstrated project management skills. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Ability to persuade others through presentations, demonstrations, and written communication. Ability to travel as needed. A/BS degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable.
