Adecco Medical and Science division has a contract opportunity available for a SR. Orthopedic Technician looking to work at a premeir hospital in palo Alto.

Job Summary
The Orthopedic Technician is accountable to and evaluated by the Patient Care Manager (or designee) for the Surgical or Orthopedic Unit, in collaboration with appropriate nursing personnel. Support their respective clinical area as it relates to orthopedic procedures, treatment and care.

Essential Functions

Acts as a consultant on orthopedic procedures and policies.
As necessary, accurately sets up traction and maintains traction beds.
Carries out all responsibilities in a pleasant, courteous and cooperative manner.
Conducts all communication (verbal and written) in an effective, accurate, courteous manner.
Contributes in a positive manner to the clinic's goals.
Effectively communicates and interacts with patients, families, staff and members of the community from diverse backgrounds.
Effectively maintains and manages their respective clinical area and performs required duties on a daily basis.
Establishes and facilitates appropriate working relationships between the orthopedic area and other work areas of the clinic.
Follows PCHA clinic guidelines related to staffing and scheduling.
Initiates problem-solving techniques on a timely basis.
Maintains adequate inventory of materials and equipment

Minimum Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Experience: 1 year of progressively responsible and directly related work experience
License/Certification: BLS - Basic Life Support

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to demonstrate customer service skills in interactions with all patients, families and staff, including high volume and stressful situations
Ability to foster effective working relationships and build consensus
Ability to solve problems and identify solutions
Ability to speak and write effectively at a level appropriate for the job
Knowledge of computer systems and software used in functional area
Knowledge of new technologies (in specific field) and maintain and stay abreast of updates and changes
