Eaton Electrical has an opening for an Industrial Outside Sales Engineer in Columbia, SC.

The primary function is to capture profitable sales and attainment of assigned SB and OE goals by providing support for assigned Industrial Accounts in the assigned territories to ensure customer satisfaction, Eaton growth and specification position of all Product Lines in the customer specifications and coverage of Key, Growth and Target accounts.  These Industrial markets include but are not limited to Pulp and Paper, Mining/Aggregate and Metals, Chemical Processing and Food and Beverage. Other duties include, but are not limited to: Working directly and manage process and follow up with Inside Sales Engineer on Project take-off and bid preparation via Bid Manager, prepare bill of materials, terms and conditions, pricing, prepare submittals, quotations follow-up, negotiation tracking, administer change orders, and other duties as assigned by the Sales Director. Provide technical assistance to distributors in direct support of their Growth end user accounts to ensure satisfaction with Eaton’s products and services. Be aware of and responsive to market conditions and competitive activities. Communicate such information to product divisions through the COR process. Maintain a cooperative and credible working relationship with other company personnel to assure customer satisfaction and manage customer relationships and opportunities through the active utilization and pipeline maintenance in Eaton’s CRM tool C360.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an in accredited institution is required
  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience in the electrical industry
  • Must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship
  • Must possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is preferred
  • Knowledge of low and medium voltage equipment and controls
  • Experience selling to industrial end users
  • Experience in sales or customer service
