Outside Sales Executive

Develop and maintain a viable account base, focusing on all services, but geared towards a specifically assigned specialized market
Generate sales leads for both existing and new business
Maintain a constant line of communication with all regional offices (domestic and foreign), as well as the Pricing Department in order to ensure that the customers are receiving the most accurate pricing and most adequate service
Provide sales and marketing management staff with comprehensive reports on specific markets/accounts/competition on a regular basis
Keep abreast of all tariff changes, including any new regulations and changes in rate applicability
Oversee the overall performance of all specifically assigned markets and provide necessary sales support
Provide ocean freight rates, file rates, assist customers with questions, concerns and/or doubts
Provide customers with solutions for cargo routing, cargo transit, and cargo procedures

Fluent in written and verbal English and Spanish
Basic awareness of state, federal and international applicable laws and regulations (Federal Maritime Commission, Interstate Commerce Commissions, U.S. Customs, Environmental and Hazardous Materials, Import/Export Maritime Air and Civil Aeronautics Board)
Familiarity with International Commercial Terms (INCOTERMS) and shipping terms
