Adecco Direct Hire is recruiting on behalf of our esteemed client in the Furniture industry for the position of Outside Sales Representative in the Asheville, NC area. In this role, the Sales Representative will be responsible for working closely with the project managers and factory staff to grow the sales division. The Sales Representative will create and execute marketing and business plans to insure growth and development. Our client is seeking candidates who are recent college graduates with 1-2 years of sales experience, a passion for design/furniture, and are driven to hunt and close new business. A book of business, as well as extensive training will be provided. The duties and responsibilities of this position include: Position Responsibilities Present and sell company products and services to current and potential clients Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets Perform phone calls and cold calling to potential clients Manage marketing campaign via direct mail, email and other means of client communication Plan, coordinate and host quarterly trade/retail events Research, craft and assemble all proposals and bids targeted to the customers' needs and requirements by collaborating with the administration and subject matter experts. Proposals and bids may include pricing, discounts, installation cost. Collaborate with internal support team and external vendor to accurately identify product pricing, detailed specification, and estimate all aspects of contract projects. Facilitate new account and new vendor set-up and implementation. Ensure proper and thorough communications with sales team, other associates, and customers. Serve as the contact point or liaison between Furniture Specialties Customer service and your client and resolve any issues related to a customer's order. Handle project management related tasks as needed Lead and direct sales teams regarding training, goals, performance expectations Develop, train, hire, new sales staff Generate and update reports to ensure accurate and timely information is available for the Administration and customers. Reports may include customer status, backlog status, sales performance goals, job tracking, and follow up, and activity reports. Prepare presentations to large groups on Sales/Marketing of our products. Conduct in-service training to new accounts of sales and product knowledge. High school degree or equivalent experience required; Bachelors degree preferred in Business Management/ Marketing /Interior Design Must have at least 1-2 years experience in a Design/Outside Sales position. Furniture industry a plus. Salesforce use, development, data management, Must be very proficient Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite Must have the ability to effectively prioritize and organize multiple activities, tasks, requests from multiple internal and external customers Background in Marketing preferred Ability to take action or complete tasks without prompting and effectively communicate the results or actions taken to internal or external customers in a timely manner Must be able to maintain focus and constructive relationships when faced with difficult internal and external customers and under time constraints Must remain flexible and open to change due to changing internal processes, multiple projects, and varying customer demands while preventing issues/distractions from interfering with work deadlines or deliverables Work requires travel to current and potential clients, This requires transportation and valid NC License and clean background Visibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and constantly providing a positive image of the company to our clients.
