PACS Administrator

Our client is looking to hire a PACS Administrator on a direct hire basis. This person will be responsible for supporting the organization's PACS tool (currently using IBM Merge) and ensuring the daily operation of this system and its associated equipment are functioning properly. This includes image ingestion, archiving, pre-fetching and similar activities. In this role, this person will also be responsible for analyzing business and clinical processes and data to determine opportunities for improvement. This person will also be responsible for performing quality audits to ensure data integrity within the imaging systems.

They will be responsible for managing workflows as well as communicating with providers (doctors, specialists, etc.), imaging department leadership as well as the IT team. This person will be responsible for modifying business rules in the applications. They will work closely with IBM's Merge team and our client's IT team to install, configure, secure and upgrade the imaging information system.

In 2017, our client has implemented major changes to their IThealth care systems in an effort to provide patients and providers with better tools to manage patient care. This is a business casual environment, with typical work hours Monday-Friday.

Required Skills:

1) Understand radiology workflows
2) Understand where images are held
3) Previous IT experience or a strong interest in moving from the clinical/radiology side to the technology side of health care IT

This person must be a strong communicator. They will be working with non-technical providers and other users as well as the IT team. They must be organized and able to coordinate efforts between the organization and external vendors.
