Registered Nurse - PACU

Our 150-acre campus and 350 bed hospital also features designated specialty centers: the Heart Center, the Tomball Regional Medical Center Wound and Hyperbaric Center, and Texas Sports Medicine Center.
Tomball Regional Medical Cente r is currently looking for a Registered Nurse - PACU.
The Staff RN assigned to the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit cares for infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for assigned patient. Responsible for meeting the Standards of Practice for PACU and managing all assigned personnel, supplies and equipment. Participates in activities to plan, measure, assess, and improve the quality of patient care. Responsible for post-op/procedure/treatment care. Responsible for post-op/procedure/treatment patient/family education. Administers medications as ordered by the physician/anesthesiologist. Assists the physician with procedures/treatments as indicated. Collaborates with physicians, nurses, and other clinical disciplines in making decisions regarding each patient's care needs. Works with professional and non-professional employees of the hospital, and with physicians, patients and their families. Works closely with nursing students and instructors.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :
A. Two years nursing experience required in a PACU or Critical Care setting.
B. Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
C. Current Texas licensure with State Board of Nurse Examiners.
D. Current CPR certification.
