Accountemps has an exceptional part time opportunity for a short term temporary Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk to join the team at a recognized company. The Accounts Payable Clerk will match and batch code, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks. As the role progresses , more responsibilities will be assigned to the Accounts Payable Clerk. Located in Bethel, Connecticut, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a short term temporary opening. Key responsibilities - Perform daily processes and controls correctly and punctually, ensuring Company policies are followed - Open, organize, and distribute department mail daily - Primarily assist the AP/Finance Department with administrative and clerical tasks - Carry out additional tasks as assigned - Provide customer service to internal business partners - Ensure invoices, checks, and other documents are properly sorted, logged, photocopied, and filed - Manage the process of verifying, logging, and mailing checks, including expediting special handling - Facilitate internal and external audits as needed
