The Enterprise truck Rental Division has an immediate opening for a part time Vehicle Service Attendant (VSA). Our Truck Rental Division provides transportation solutions within the commercial truck industry, renting business to business. Our goal is to provide high service levels and clean, well-maintained trucks. The VSA will be responsible for cleaning, detailing, and providing light maintenance on a diverse fleet of Medium- Duty trucks.

 

This is a part time position (25 hours) and the pay is $10.50 per hour. Our ideal candidate will be able  to work the following schedule:

 

Schedule hours: 25

  • Monday 12PM - 5PM
  • Tuesday 12PM - 5PM
  • Wednesday 12PM - 5PM
  • Thursday 12PM - 5PM
  • Friday 12PM - 5PM
  • Saturday OFF
  • Sunday OFF

Responsibilities:
  • Clean vehicle interior and exterior and also clean vehicle windshields, windows, mats, etc. 
  • Drive various vehicles safely and efficiently while on and off the lot and while assisting with local vehicle deliveries and miscellaneous job related duties 
  • Check and maintain fluid levels on all vehicles 
  • Notify manager of any potential unsafe equipment, conditions and vehicle problems
  • Perform basic maintenance such as tire pressure, check fluids, replace marker lights, the lift gate, etc. 
  • Keep work area, tools, and equipment organized and in clean and working condition
  • Maintain a regular and reliable level of attendance

Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not requre work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
  • Must have a valid US driver's license for a minimum of 1 year.
  • Must have minimum of 1 year experience in the last 6 years in any of the following (will consider PT experience):
    • Customer service, administrative, labor, retail, etc.
    • Leadership role in civic or service group, non-profit organization or association, campus or other club (i.e., Rotary, Kiwanis, Junior League, VFW, Chamber of Commerce, student service organization, college clubs)
    • Participation as an athlete on a professional, semi-professional or college team athlete
    • OR be currently enrolled in college full time for a minimum of 1 year
    • Experience with box trucks considered a plus
  • Must have satisfactory background check inclusive of driving (no more than 2 moving violations and/or at fault accidents in the past 3 years, and no drug or alcohol related conviction on driving record in the last 5 years) criminal, employment reference, education, and social security. A conviction will not necessarily disqualify you for employment. Rather, such factors as age and date of conviction, seriousness and nature of the crime, and rehabilitation will be considered.
    • In accordance with Washington, DC law, applicants will not be asked about their criminal record, and no criminal background checks will be conducted, unless and until a contingent offer of employment has been extended.
    • In accordance with Prince Georges County, MD and Montgomery County, MD law, applicants will not be asked about their criminal record and no criminal background checks will be conducted until after a successful first interview has been conducted.
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job (heavy lifting, vacuuming cars, bending down, moving quickly, and working outside) with or without reasonable accommodation.

We are subject to certain Department of Transportation Regulations

  • All applicants must be at least 21 years of age and be qualified to drive under D.O.T. regulations. Applicants will be required to submit an appropriate medical examiner's certificate, or submit to and successfully complete a D.O.T. medical examination.
