Inside Product Specialist III Job Description
Dell is hiring and we are looking to grow our Dell Team for Inside Sales Product Specialist (Software Solutions and Infrastructure). Positions available in Round Rock, TX, Nashville, TN, Oklahoma City, OK.

The Job Description:
  • Viewed as a trusted business advisor to the customer and uses in-depth knowledge of Dell's technology, products and services to help customer's formulate direction.
  • Utilizes strategic probing to identify, evaluate, and recommend alternative business solutions.
  • Analyzes multiple market factors to both anticipate/identify customer problems/needs and recommends appropriate solution.
  • Engages cross-functional resources, regardless of geographic loactaion, in order to achieve goal/meet customer needs.
  • Effectively balances demands from multiple stakeholders.
  • Effectively balances short term and long term priorities.
  • Develops and implements account plans that drive the attainment of critical business objectives.
  • Involved in contract negotiations and possesses strong financial/business and pricing knowledge.
Overview of Daily Tasks:
  • Taking around 5-10 inbound phone calls
  • Making around 15-25 outbound calls to acquire and follow up
  • Email Management and correspondence
Principal Accountabilities
  • Provides product or BU specific expertise.
  • Responsible for selling a defined set of products and services.
  • May own account sets and/or be called into accounts as opportunities are identified.
  • Acts as a technical resource to support the sales organization to meet and/or exceed their objectives.
  • Identifies customer needs/requirements, and recommends the appropriate products and solutions.
  • Remains up-to-date on new product, technology, and services offerings.
  • Stays current on industry and vertical solutions as well.
  • Assists in the on-going technical education and development of the broader team.
  • Promotes and positions key strategic product and service offerings.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Learning a broad range of Dell technology, products, and services and is able to identify how these products and services align to customer needs.
  • Able to explain technical, industry, and market facts to position Dell as a competitive solution.  Cooperates and collaborates with colleagues, cross-functionally, to support the sales process.
  • Understands the administrative and operational requirements of the job.
  • Demonstrates good judgment in analyzing information to make routine decisions.
  • Follows up with occasional outbound calls.
  • Works under general direction.
  • Work is guided by objectives of the sales area.
  • Refers to established policies and precedents as needed.
  • Applies judgment to identify when deviation from standard practice is required.
  • Assumes responsibility to improve service, efficiency and quality of work.
  • Regularly provides direction and instruction to lower level representatives.
Experience and Skills Required
  • Bachelors or Associates Degree preferred
  • 6-8 years of relevant industry experience
  • Basic knowledge of the full range of 3rd party software technology, products, and services and is able to identify how these products and services align to customer needs.
  • General industry and competitor knowledge.
  • Basic customer relationship skills.
  • Understands the administrative and operational requirements of the job.
  • Demonstrates good judgment in analyzing information to make routine decisions.
