PwC's US Finance organization is a strategic business advisor responsible for managing the firm's financial risk, including: financial planning and reporting, data analysis, and assisting leadership with strategic and tactical matters. Services include: budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting needs, data and analytics, shared services and financing. Finance works daily with US Leadership, engagement partners and managers on managing the profitability of engagements.
Finance has assisted other PwC Network firms regionalize their financial operations. Finance also analyzes potential acquisitions, assisting with the integration (including system needs) and educating partners/managers on how to navigate our various financial systems.
The Partnership Tax group is made up of two teams: Domestic Tax and International Tax. These teams are responsible for work related to the Firm's tax obligations in all jurisdictions (i.e., filing the Firm's federal, state and foreign income tax returns, sales and use tax, other ad valorem tax returns), managing tax audits, and supporting the partners' individual tax planning and compliance.
The Domestic and International Accounting Operations team oversees the functions and processes related to financial operations of the US Firm and its Foreign subsidiaries.
The Domestic Tax Accounting Department is responsible for the Tax and Cash ledger accounting and reporting, Cash Income projections and Taxable Net Income projections. This team provides financial data and analysis to the Partnership Tax department and partners with senior leadership in developing and implementing tax planning strategies.Position/Program Requirements
Minimum Years of Experience: 5
Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree
Degree(s) Preferred: Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance
Certification(s) Preferred: CPA
Demonstrated knowledge of international, federal, state, local tax return preparation, tax regulations, tax compliance and tax issues.
Demonstrated knowledge of partnership tax and domestic income tax.
Demonstrated knowledge of international tax regulations, compliance and issues.
Demonstrated knowledge of ad valorem taxes.
Demonstrated experience coordinating the preparation of foreign, federal, state and local tax returns and supporting schedules for the Firm and partners.
Demonstrated experience meeting tax compliance requirements and managing ongoing foreign tax audits.
Demonstrated experience researching strategies to minimize the tax liabilities and risks, making decisions regarding preparation of tax schedules for tax returns, and solving complex issues impacting tax returns.
Demonstrated experience prioritizing multiple tax filing requirements and effectively working with partners and agencies
to establish the timely receipt of relevant information needed for all tax filings.
Demonstrated experience to coordinate with other departments with the Firm to prepare, review, and analyze reports necessary for preparation of Firm's tax returns.
Demonstrated experience as a team leader who can build solid relationships with partners, directors, managers, staff members, and other departments, create a positive environment, monitor workloads of team members, provide meaningful feedback to partners' and agencies' questions in a timely manner, and keep leadership informed of progress and issues.
