Accountemps is recruiting for a part-time Bookkeeper to maintain the day-to-day accounting records for an established technology company located in the Woburn area. The ideal candidate will have experience maintaining financials for multiple entities, enjoy working independently, have excellent attention to detail and accuracy, have excellent time management skills to manage their daily workload and meet deadlines, and have the ability to multi-task. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Process and record daily deposits to all entities and monitor all bank account balances daily. Process weekly check run and maintain vendor files of all backup documentation. Maintain member lists for each cooperative and balance to bank accounts. Provide sales status information for payroll and allocate payroll costs by department/cooperative and bill existing cooperatives for reimbursement. Maintain record of all credit cards and bank accounts. Assist with opening and closing accounts as directed. Produce monthly financial statements for all cooperative and corporate entities. This includes preparing the bank reconciliation for each account, ensuring all intercompany transfers are recorded/balanced and reviewing the general ledger for any potential issues. Participate in controlling operating expenses and maintaining budget controls. Perform office duties related to managing office supply inventory, maintaining record of access cards for corporate office, distributing incoming mail and filling/updating postage meter regularly, assisting with courier deliveries and external shipping, and maintaining shared copiers. Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed.
