Roles & Responsibilities:

The Patient Care Technician has three main areas of responsibilities:
  1. Clerical or Unit Secretary duties
  2. Direct patient care
  3. Assisting the nursing staff with patient duties
The Patient Care Technician is assigned specific responsibilities by the Clinical Manager or Charge Nurse on duty. The Patient Care Technician may be assigned to one specific task or may rotate assignments during their shift. Renders care to patients that include activities of daily living relevant to age specific needs attends to basic and advanced nursing care, and maintains a safe and clean environment. Supervises no one.
  • Completion of CNA, EMT, or Medical Technician Course, or completion of years
    of RN/LPN programs
  • Current BLS
  • Six months experience preferred
  • Completion of Patient Care Technician Course or equivalent

Required Licenses/Certifications:
  • BLS
  • CNA, EMT or Medical Tech
