The liaison communicates with surgical personnel and physicians in order to meet the informational needs of patients and families having a surgical experience.
The liaison assumes the primary responsibility for keeping patients and families informed of progress through the surgical process, and provides comfort care to patients and their family members.
The liaison utilizing age appropriate guidelines to effectively interact.
The incumbent must exemplify professionalism in dealing with confidential medical information and must possess excellent customer relations skills.
Basic Life Support (BCLS)
High school graduate or equivalent.
Prefer minimum 2 years of college and/or business related courses.
Basic knowledge of computers.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Effective communication skills. Previous public relations experience highly desirable.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a face paced environment.
