IMMEDIATE OPPORTUNITY FOR PAYROLL ACCOUNTANT!!! Our client has an immediate need for a part-time or full-time Payroll Accountant! Responsibilities will focus around processing checks, managing timesheets, and creating journal entries for their weekly payroll. Experience utilizing Timberline software is required as well as strong data entry and technical skills. Long term position offering flexibility! For immediate consideration, please send your resume to - Handle payroll discrepancies through information collection and analysis - Determining payroll liabilities by calculating employee federal and state income and social security taxes and employer social security, unemployment, and worker compensation payments - Other duties as assigned - Handle payroll record updates by keeping changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers - Answer questions and requests related to payroll information - Collect, calculate, and enter relevant data to maintain payroll records - Protect confidential payroll operation information and maintain employee confidence - Execute relevant weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports to circulate amongst department heads - Compile all information in reference to summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages for reports
