A brighter future is in your hands.  We're currently seeking a HR Payroll clerk to assist our administrative office manager.  This position requires payroll experience, strong attention to detail and experience working in an environment required strict confidentiality at all times.

What you'll do:

  • Processing payroll in accordance with Company policies

  • Reviewing and screening timecards for calculating, coding and other errors

  • Entering data into the Company's payroll system accurately and in a timely manner to ensure that employees are paid the correct amount

  • Initiating stop payments and voiding checks as requested

  • Completing surveys and creating reports as needed

  • Processing garnishment requests, coding for health and benefit deductions and setting up direct deposit as requested

  • Branch EEO and Affirmative Action Requirements

  • Certified payroll and prevailing wages

  • Knowledge of unions

  • Hiring and screening of new employees

Skills we're seeking:

  • Minimum 5 year of general accounting, payroll experience and familiar with HR policies and requirements

  • Excellent computer skills (MS Excel, MS Word and Outlook)

  • Strong work ethic

  • Effective oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

  • Attention to details

  • Organized

  • Customer service experience

  • Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
