The Pega Architect has responsibilities from enterprise-wide architecture to project level architecture. The focus is on defining the relationships and flows of business application processes, activities, synchronization, functions, and consistency of information, while developing and leveraging IT standards in response to changing business needs. The Pega Architect has end-to-end responsibilities that extend from corner-to-corner of the technical implementation of business projects and IT standards and guidelines. This individual is involved in the early phases of business and IT projects with responsibilities extending through all phases of development. The Pega Architect is also involved in developing and setting the standards and guidelines by which all Pega-related work within Dell IT will be measured and implemented.
**Principal Duties and Responsibilities:**
‒ Lead a technical team in developing solutions to complex business problems
‒ Lead technical efforts in the initial project planning phases for business problems
‒ Lead research, discovery, planning, and implementation efforts to improve business processes
‒ Participate in the Solution Architecture Review for projects, applications, and infrastructure
‒ Participate in R&D and Innovation activities
‒ Define standardized reference architectures for processes and technology
‒ Document standards, solutions, data flows, procedures, and other technical information as directed
‒ Evaluate and apply emerging technologies to meet current or emerging business needs
‒ Provide master-level technical support to technical staff within the appropriate discipline
‒ Enforce best practices in PEGA architecture, design and coding
‒ Mentor members of the technical staff
‒ Bachelor’s degree (technical) with 10+ years relevant experience
‒ Pega PRPC, Java, J2EE, XML, JSP, Servlets
‒ Pega Certified Lead Systems Architect (CLSA)
‒ Experience designing and developing process-based solutions
‒ Expert level skills in various rules and features like Flows, Activities, User Interface, Flow Actions, Agents, SLA, Correspondence, Single-Sign-On (SSO), External Authentication, PRPC Security, Reports, Listeners (File, MQ), Connectors and SOAP Services, etc.
‒ Full PRPC implementation cycle including enterprise Class Structure design and Rulesets design
‒ Expertise in debugging using Tracer, Clipboard, SMA, PAL, PegaLogs, Server logs, Rules Inspector, AES
‒ Working experience with Pega 7
‒ Stage-based case management
‒ Data Modeling using Data Pages
‒ Version Control, DevOps tool usage experience: VSS, CVS, Jenkins, SVN
‒ Master’s degree (technical)
‒ Experience in Pega Decisioning
‒ Scrum and Agile implementation experience
