We are actively seeking a Performance Engineer
to join our team in Minneapolis, MN.
Primary responsibility is to troubleshoot customer's complex issues and work on optimization the code and provide guidance on Oracle Database and other infrastructure related scaling matter. Basic Qualifications:
Must have hands-on-experience in building high performance SQL and PL/SQL code with Oracle database. Preferred Qualifications:
DBA experience(11g/12c and Exadata) is highly desirable who knows Oracle's internal - Architecture, Optimizer.
Should be able to interpret AWR or similar reports to identify any database bottlenecks and provide recommendations.
Should be able to understand Query execution plans and Oracle tracing information(TKProf)
Should have strong Oracle skills including indexing strategy, partitioning and dbms_stats etc.
Should have good grasp on profiling data quickly to understand data models
Should be able to identify areas of improvement in the application by reviewing the code
Should have good debugging skills to uncover issues using instrumentation.
Should have worked with large code base on large volumes of transaction data.
5 years of experience in performance tuning Qualifications:
Masters / PhD degree in Computer Science or related engineering fields
Some exposure to Java/J2EE based application coding techniques.
RMI, EJB,Webapp servers (Weblogic,OC4J) experience is a big plus.
Should be able to work with other global teams within organization and external customers.
Should be comfortable working in Unix and Windows environment.
Should have worked with database tools like Toad, SQL Developer and any data modeling tool
Technical and Team leadership is desired
Any experience with Oracle Retail product will be helpful
Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others.
