We believe the role of Order Entry Lead will present you with such an opportunity, as you will maintain workflow in the department, monitor its productivity and performance, and ensure that all run times are met.

Primary Responsibilities

You will:

  • Coordinate and supervise the daily order entry process including all special dispensing situations and requirements as specified
  • Accurately enter orders in a timely manner for final inspection by pharmacist.
  • Assist with the continued updating and improvement of all computer processes and procedures.
  • Maintain adequate supply of forms and other related items necessary for the department
  • Maintain a pharmacy order entry training program and ensure that all technicians are appropriately trained according to current training procedures.
  • Maintain current working knowledge of facility policies and procedures as relates to pharmacy services.
  • Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPAA.
  • Other duties as assigned; Job duties may vary by location.

Management Responsibilities

You will:

  • Maintain appropriate staffing of the order entry area and coordinate with all pharmacy staff so that daily time requirements are met or exceeded.
  • Prepare order entry technician work schedules.
  • Provide employees with timely and constructive feedback, helping to develop employees to their full potential.

Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous pharmacy technician experience in leadership or management preferred.

Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred.

Verifiable High School diploma or GED is required.
