Position Summary:The mission of CVS Health is to help people on their path to better health. Our Drug Information Specialist Pharmacists play a meaningful role in fulfilling our mission by ensuring safe prescribing and dispensing of medications to our patients. This role enables you to utilize your education and training to its ful lest potential in a dynamic
practice setting. As a member of our Pharmacy Clinical Review Team, you work with our store pharmacists and prescribers to review, research and resolve clinically concerning therapies and critical drug utilization review alerts.
Our Clinical Review Team is part of our best-in-class Retail Pharmacy Call Center passionate about ensuring that each patient has a positive interaction with CVS Pharmacy and our practitioners. We deliver complete satisfaction by serving each patient according to Customer Care standard operating procedures and CVS Health’s purpose, strategy and values. In order to ensure our patients receive best in class care; this position includes some on-call coverage.
Professional Services: Deliver high quality consultative services to patients, pharmacists, and physicians in a professional call center environment. Secure privacy and confidentiality as required by HIPAA, company and departmental guidelines. Adhere to organizational procedures. Employ effective communication methods to maintain call control, document clinical interventions in patient records, act in alignment with all State Regulations and Federal Laws. Have ability to interface and use call center technology.
Operations: Communicate and interact with healthcare professionals within the CVS Health enterprise and with external partners. Participate in the service delivery team’s operational meetings and training sessions. Support ongoing training and development programs for the service delivery team including Pharmacists and other healthcare professional.
Required Qualifications:Licensed Pharmacist
Successful completion of an accredited Drug Information Residency Program
Minimum of 3 years experience working in Drug Information
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work as part of a high-performing team
Highly dependable and self-directed
Ability to quickly assess and adapt to constantly changing situations
Flexibility in work schedule is needed due to the dynamic needs of our business
Retail pharmacy experience a plus
Practical application of pharmacy technology and
call center processes and proceduresEducation:Pharmacy Degree (Bachelor or Doctorate) required
